The Western Sahara Campaign is delighted to be hosting Aminatou Haidar in a visit to London the week of 24 June 2019. Aminatou is one of Africa's most prominent human rights activists and will help to spread the message of the Saharawi cause while she is in London.
Join us for the first event of her visit: Aminatou Haidar and Saharawi Resistance THE ART OF NON-VIOLENT STRUGGLE IN WESTERN SAHARA
Hosted by Birkbeck College, University of London (the Department of Geography, Environment and Development Studies) and in collaboration with Sandblast Arts, Olive Branch Arts and Saharawi Voice, join us for a chance to meet Aminatou.
The event will include:
* Background to the Western Sahara conflict * Screening of Three Stolen Cameras * Q&A with Aminatou Haidar * Understanding Cultural Resistance in Occupied Western Sahara and the Saharawi Refugee Camps * Music and Photography
